Carland Cross is a fictional character
and the main protagonist
in the series. Created by Belgian author and drawer
Michel Oleffe and Olivier Grenson.
He was created in late 1989 and was first appeared in comics in 1990, in a total of eight novels. His first fantasy story, Le Golem, it was later following by further comics series. Due of the success, the creators published in 1994, in which four series of the eight comics series selected in an animated series of 26 episodes simply called Carland Cross
.

Appearance and personality
Cross is physically an tall, average, understated stylish britain. His age is not reveal in the comics and animated series but it is estimated at early to mid 40's as the stories set in the mid to late 1930s. His serious pale face is recognized by his eternal frown-eyebrows, blue eyes, sideburns, black hair with a free cloth wick on his right forehead. He is usually wear a hat, a brown trenchcoat, dark-blue suit, black waistcoat, white dress shirt, blue tie and black shoes with white gaiters.
