The ticket office, constructed when the line was electrified in 1960, was cleared away in the early 1990s leaving Carntyne station unstaffed and with only basic 'bus stop'-style shelters on the platforms for passengers to use.

Services

From Carntyne, Monday to Saturday daytimes, there is train every 15 minutes towards Glasgow Queen Street and beyond (/) westbound and eastbound. Evenings and Sundays there is a half-hourly service in each direction.
