. The town is a combination of three subdivision
s of which its name reflects: Carpenters Addition, Millerdale I, and Millerdale II. There are no stores in Carpendale and there is only one road in and out of the town.

living together, 8.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.6% were non-families. 21.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.49 and the average family size was 2.89.
In the town the population was spread out with 22.1% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 24.9% from 25 to 44, 32.0% from 45 to 64, and 13.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 95.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.5 males.
