In 1906, the C.T. & G. was sold to the Georgia, Florida and Alabama Railway.
state law chapter 4264, approved May 22, 1893, granted land to the company that had formerly been granted to the Thomasville, Tallahassee and Gulf Railroad
Company (on February 7, 1883). To obtain the land grants, the railroad would have to be finished between Tallahassee
and Thomasville
by January 1, 1895.
