Carrie Melbourne also had an original band in the 1990s called simply "Melbourne". She sang, and played bass guitar and Chapman stick
. The band released two albums, Indian Ocean and Night Star.
Carrie Melbourne now works as a lay pastoral assistant in the church. She released an album called Et Spiritu Sancti, a collection of spiritually inspiring songs mostly based on reworkings of traditional hymns and songs. Since releasing the album she has appeared in interviews and music features on Soul and Inspiration, and had her song Breath of Prayer featured on the BBC Radio 4
programme Something Understood.
She lives in England with her husband Doug Melbourne who is also a musician.
