explained that this single release was at the specific request of the group's UK label, Domino Records following significant playtime on John Peel
's Radio 1 show. "Carrot Rope" would become the band's second and final UK top 40 hit. Despite the single's success, it was not included on Quarantine the Past: The Best of Pavement
