The People's Campus

Castle College's headquarters were located in Nottingham's City Centre on Maid Marian Way. Courses offered at the campus are Digital Technologies, Business & Travel, Management & Professional and Health & Medical Sciences.

The campus was to be transformed by a £35 million redevelopment, which would have provided Nottingham with world class skills, learning resources and the regional centre of excellence for Science, Technology & Engineering. The highly original new building would have combined the College with shops, offices and flats which would have complemented its historic surroundings. Plans for this are on long-term hold while a £6,000,000 deficit in the college's budget is ironed out.

This campus has now lost the name of The People's Campus in favour of South Nottingham College City Maid Marian Way campus.

The People's Campus was previously occupied by People's College Nottingham before the merger with Broxtowe in 2006.

There have been rumours circulating internally that following the proposed merger, the new (larger) college will move courses currently taught at the People's Campus to other sites, and sell the Maid Marian Way site for development; this appears to be the basis for the minimal expenditure on routine maintenance at the current site.
