History

The Cathedral of His Glory was started by Dr. C. Paul Willis under the name Christian Word Teaching Ministries in the Terrace movie theater in Greensboro, N.C. After a series of what seemed to be miracles, the congregation was able to build its 2200-seat sanctuary on a piece of land near the Lake Jeanette off Lake Jeanette Road. It was the first completely interracial church established in Greensboro following the emergence of the Civil Rights

Structure of the Church

The Cathedral of His Glory operates out of a simple cell group program where the cell leaders must undergo nearly an "encounter" retreat followed by an entire year of training and studying the Biblical doctrines before they graduate from SoL or the School of Leaders. The pastor and his wife have twelve men and women in their cell groups and then those members each have twelve members in their cell groups. After those members graduate, they then form their own cell groups and the cycle continues. The Cell Ministry was created to reach the needs of all members of the Church and all members are encouraged to participate.
