Catherine Annau One of North America’s most acclaimed documentary filmmakers, Catherine Annau delivers sharp style and compelling storytelling to every single project she works on. From helming Sex Intelligence on HBO with Sex & The City’s Kim Cattrall to the award winning Just Watch Me: Trudeau & the 70s Generation or as a producer & director on top rated reality series as Dragon’s Den and Spoiled Rotten, Annau’s populist approach has proven a success with audiences, broadcasters and critics alike.

Catherine Annau’s debut feature Just Watch Me: Trudeau and the 70s Generation won numerous prizes and appeared at New York’s Lincoln Centre, the National Gallery in Washington D.C., at the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris, and at various film festivals world-wide.

Annau’s other directing work includes the high definition, international coproduction Sexual Intelligence with Kim Cattrall, broadcast on HBO, Channel 4, and Discovery Canada; Winning, a documentary about lottery winners which was broadcast by the Sundance Channel U.S and numerous public broadcasters, and The Power Refugees, a half-hour documentary about savvy young Canadians in New York. She had produced and directed for CBC’s renowned investigative journalism series The Fifth Estate. Her documentary The Good Father about one of Canada’s worst sexual predators was acclaimed in Canada and abroad. She has also produced an internationally award-winning documentary on women and heart disease, Wisdom of the Heart.

A published author, her written work has appeared in the best-selling Trudeau Albums (Penguin Books, 2000), and in the Globe and Mail, as well as in numerous academic journals and anthologies of Canadian history.

A best selling author and frequent pundit, Catherine Annau has recently completed Brick by Brick: the Story of Evergreen Brickworks, a documentary film about urban and environmental renewal and the Nazi POWs who helped build modern Toronto.
