The Central Makran Range is primarily made up of limestone and sandstone and was formed when the northwestern Indian plate collided with the Asian plate.
There are three main ranges in Balochistan: the Makran Coastal Range
(up to about 1500 m), the Central Makran Range (2000 m to 3000 m) and the Siahan Range
(1000 m to 2000 m).
