History
Centro Taigum was first opened to the public in 1982 as the "Taigum Central Shopping Centre". In 2001, Centro Properties Group undertook a major redevelopment of the centre, spending $70 million to incorporate the Big W and Best & Less stores, as well as increasing the number of specialty stores on the site. The new centre was opened to the public on 29 October 2001. The renaming from Taigum Central to Centro Taigum occurred two years later, in July 2003.
