Changchun Yatai is a Chinese

team. It was founded on June 6, 1996 by Jilin Yatai Group at Changchun

The club failed to win promotion from the Yi Division, until they bought a position in the upper division with the Bayi Chaoneng team at 2000. The new team finished 5th and maintained an unbeaten record at home before finishing second the following season. However, the club did not get promoted to the Chinese Super League
until 2006. They finished 1st in the CSL in 2007.
They surprised everybody by winning the 2007 CSL title and will participate in the ACL 2008 along with Beijing Guoan, also making its debut.
They will play the first game against Binh Duong (Vietnam team) at ACL on March 12.
