Charles Emil Baron was a longtime minor league baseball player and manager who collected over 2,300 hits as a player and a league championship as a manager.

Playing career

Baron spent 20 seasons playing in the minor leagues, from 1931 to 1951, reaching as high as Triple-A in two seasons (1946 and 1947). He did not hit below .322 from 1934 to 1937, and he finished his career with a 2,319 hits and a .306 batting average in 2,080 minor league games. He led his respective league in triples in 1937, 1939 and 1944, and in 1936 he led the East Texas League
