He is CEO of Ovation TV, a television channel dedicated to art, performance, and creativity.

Segars is also the founder of Sparkler Entertainment, which does motion picture and television production as well as media investment and strategic advice. Sparkler Entertainment is based at Walt Disney Company with whom it has a first-look motion picture deal.

Charles Segars is Chief Executive Officer of Ovation TV, the only television channel and online platform dedicated to art, culture and personal creativity. He was a key architect in the August 2006 acquisition of the network, led by Hubbard Media, which included Arcadia Investment Partners, of which he is a member, Corporate Partners II and Perry Capital.

Mr. Segars is also the founder of Los Angeles-based Sparkler Entertainment, active in media investment and strategic advisory work, as well as motion picture and television production. He recently served as Executive Producer of National Treasure: The Book of Secrets, the sequel to the worldwide box office hit National Treasure for which he wrote the original story and executive produced. Sparkler Entertainment is based at Walt Disney Company with which it has a first-look motion picture deal.

In 2004, Mr. Segars joined MarketRange Inc. as Chief Marketing Officer. MarketRange is a leading creator and manager of online, subscription-based, lifestyle and entertainment communities including Perfectmatch.com, Lab621.com and TalentMatch.com. At MarketRange Mr.Segars led a strategic partnership team that specialized in customer acquisition, marketing and revenue generation for the Market Range suite of companies. He remains with MarketRange in a strategic advisory role and most recently, was part of the team that launched www.Earthlab.com. Earthlab.com is currently the largest on-line community dedicated to providing a practical guide to green living.

Mr. Segars was a senior executive at DreamWorks SKG where he was instrumental in developing both traditional television and new media ventures. During his tenure, he played a key role in all creative and operational aspects of DreamWorks Television, including the supervision of series development, production, legal/business affairs and marketing/promotion teams.

He is also a founder of the internet site CountingDown.com, one of the premiere movie fan sites on the Internet. He was responsible for the operation and execution of this contextual e-commerce and community site. During his tenure, he oversaw all marketing and new business development and orchestrated the sale of CountingDown.com to DreamWorks/Vulcan Ventures in 2000.

Prior to Dream Works, Mr. Segars was Vice President of Primetime Specials, Reality and Event Programming at CBS. He was responsible for the development and production of all entertainment and reality specials and series, including telecasts of the Grammy Awards, The Country Music Association Awards, the Tony Awards and the Kennedy Center Honors. He began at CBS as Director of Late Night and Non-Network Programming, supervising the "Crimetime After Primetime" drama franchise and the launch of "Late Night with David Letterman" and "The Kids in the Hall."

He is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University and began his career as one of the original Executive Producers and development executives of the Movie Time Channel which eventually evolved into E! Entertainment Television.
