At 16 she was chosen from 6,000 hopefuls to win a place with the National Youth Theatre. At 18 she moved to London to study at Guildhall Drama School.
's Doctors. She wrote and emailed the casting directors at Doctors three times about whether Imogen would appear on the show; and whether they would be casting for this role. She was later called in for an audition and subsequently won the role. After winning the role of Imogen she moved to the Midlands to be near the studio where Doctors is filmed.
She is currently filming the new series of Doctors for 2011.

In 2007 Clemmow graduated from Guildhall Drama School with a BA Hons in Acting. She lived in London after graduating; and decided to see if she could find a TV role without an agent. She wrote to a lot of TV companies. She decided to try for the role of Karen Hollins' teenage daughter Imogen after watching several episodes of BBCBBC
