Since the timetable change, peak time services have seen a marked reduction in frequency. The 08.19 service to Manchester Piccadilly no longer calls at Chelford, instead being retimed to depart from Crewe at 07.55 rather than 08,00 and then it runs 'semi-fast', skipping Goostrey and Chelford and calling at Alderley Edge at 08.15.
