and is included in the cost of membership. The front part of the magazine is also available free online, although the core of the online magazine is available only with a subscription. It was first published in January 2004 to replace Chemistry in Britain, the journal with the same general brief which ran from 1965, with "a new title, to acknowledge the international nature of the subject".
