She released a poetry book with her co-writer of feature film 'I Do...I Did! titled "Two Different Walks Of Life" 4/12/11 and her sophomore novel "Peaches & Cream" is set to debut late 2011 early 2012. Writing has become her second career choice she is a contributing writer for Temptation Magazine, and Glam Couture Magazine where she does a monthly article titled "Cherry Picking". Cherie also holds the position of editor-at-large at Success News Paper.

Johnson is the real life niece of TV producer David W. Duclon, who was responsible for starting her career.
