 descent is accepted by the neighbouring tribes. Historically in 1930s to 1990s Chhajra's of Bindah ishaq and Qadirpur chhajra Muzaffar garh were very famous because of their interest in saraiki literature.
In 1908 Nawab Mian Ameer Muhammad Chhajra from Qadirpur Chhajra (grand father of Sardar Mian Altaf Chhajra)was big land lord of whole Punjab. Sardar Mian Ishaq chhajra's descendant were supposed to be chief of this clan in Punjab Pakistan.(for any queries about nawab mian ameer muhammad chhajra contact with his grand son who was given to his grand father name mian ameer muhammad presently living in muzzafar garh ph no 0313 332 3033)

Malik Jindwada(late) from Chhajara tribe contributed a lot in education sector in 60's and 70's.
