Chicago Powerfest is a heavy metal
festival
held annually in Illinois
since 2000. The 2008 edition took place on May 1-3 at The Pearl Room in Mokena.
This was the first year that Chicago Powerfest decided to open the lounge area of Capones, a neighboring establishment, to the public. Besides the option of relaxing during bands that patrons do not wish to see, it was planned that they would also be using the stage area within Capone's to host acoustic acts (once again, for the first time ever). The lineup for the acoustic sets were as follows:
