Children of the Future is the only album released by the German heavy metal band known as The Sygnet. The group was put together by Jaded Heart members Michael Bormann

Michael Bormann is a German vocalist. Since the first recording he had made with a band, he has been involved with several groups as their lead vocalist, having accepted contracts to record his vocals on albums rather than being a full time member of the bands...

 and Michael Muller, along with ex-Sinner guitarist Alexander Beyrodt and drummer Andre Hilgers from Bourbon $treet. This was Bormann's first recording outside his usual vein of Hard Rock style. This became the only album by the group as during writing sessions for a second recording, Bormann and Beyrodt disagreed about direction so they parted ways.
