China Network Television (CNTV) is a national web-based TV broadcaster officially launched on December 28, 2009. CNTV International offers foreign language services in 5 languages so far, containing English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic channels. They also provide viewers with a host of news and feature programs from China National Television's foreign channels (CCTV-News, CCTV-F, CCTV-E
, CCTV-Pусский (Russian) and CCTV-العربية (Arabic)).

The channel grew out of CCTV International, which was launched on September 25, 2000. The Channel name of "CCTV-9" was changed to "CCTV News" from 19:00 pm (Beijing Time) on April 26, 2010.
