. It is situated along the Burma Valley road.It is about 23 kilometers from the City of Mutare.
It is co-educational school from form One to Sixth form.
It was established in the early 80s after the Zimbabwe Independence. In the past Chitakatira High School has produced very good 'O' Level results. It boasts of alumni club membership of the famous Journalist in Moses Magadza.
