Christian Fredrik Michelet (born 23 June 1863 in Christiania
, died 25 July 1927 in Bærum
) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party
.
He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Akershus
in 1910, and was re-elected in 1913, 1916 and 1919.
From 1920 to 1921, when the first cabinet Bahr Halvorsen
held office, Michelet was Minister of Foreign Affairs. He later became Minister of Foreign Affairs again in the second cabinet Bahr Halvorsen
(1923) and the cabinet Berge (1923–1924).
On the local level Michelet was mayor of Bærum
municipality from 1899 to 1910, having first been elected to the municipal council in 1897.
Outside of politics, Petersen has a cand.jur. degree from the University of Oslo
in 1886 and had his own lawyer's office in Kristiania.
