. He was bailiff of Worcester in 1574 and in that role received Queen Elizabeth at Worcester on 13 Aug 1575. He provided a lavish reception for which he was subsequently compensated by council. He was bailiff again in 1596 and 1598. In 1601 he was elected MP for Worcester again. He was re-elected MP for Worcester in 1604 and sat until his death a year later in 1605.
