Early life

He attended Southern University Laboratory School (Southern Lab) for elementary school and high school, atteded Baker Middle School for middle school. First sport ever played was soccer from 1980-1991 with the Scotlandville Jaguars. Started playing basketball in 1983 with the Baton Rouge Raiders in 1983-1988. First year of football and track was in 1987 with the Baker Middle Buffalos as a defensive end, offensive tackle, and competed in the 800 meter run, discus, and shot put. Played football, basketball, track at Southern Lab high school. Positions in football were tight end, linebacker, fullback, kicker. All District tight end, linebacker, kicker in 1991-1992. He was on the 1993 state championship team basketball team. Participated in the 4x400 relay team, 800 meter run, shot put, and discus. He was on the 1990 state championship track team. His #25 football jersey was retired in 2006. Played youth baseball with the Scotlandville Cardinals from 1989-1993.

Finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Award in 1997(best defensive player), Honorable mention All-American in 1997, 1st team All SEC 1997-1996, 2nd team All SEC 1995, Academic All SEC 1996. Still owns LSU's single game sack record (4 - vs South Carolina 1995), finished 4th on LSU's all time sack list with 19. Elected Athletic Council by the student body in 1997, recipient of the Jessie Owens award in 1996 (for the highest GPA among LSU's African American athletes). Graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology in 1997, and a M.S. in Sports Management in 2005.

fraternity. He started a non profit foundation in 2001 that works with youth mentoring and foster care children in Baton Rouge, La. and Atlanta, Ga. call 99 Wayz 2 Win. The city of Baton Rouge city council named June 27 "Chuck Wiley Day" for his community service in the city of Baton Rouge. He host the annual "Chuck Wiley Bayou AllStars Football and Cheerleader Camp" in Baton Rouge and the "Omega Football and Cheerleader Camp" in Atlanta, Ga. He started Front 7 in 2009, a sports specific training company that works with all sports in speed and conditioning, weight lifting, skill enhancement. He is the cousin of Super Bowl XXII MVP Doug Williams. He is a motivational speaker.
