Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (中華經濟研究院) is a Taiwan
-based international policy think tank for economic and industry-related research. It was established in 1981 in response to the severance of diplomatic relations between Taiwan (Republic of China) and the U.S. in 1979. It conducts both public research and fee-supported research.
