The Civil Service Faithful Service Medal in Gold (Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen für Beamte Angestellte und Arbeiter im öffentlichen Dienst Stufe in Gold) was founded on the 30th of January 1938, as a reward for civilians in the employ of the public services for 40 years or more of faithful service. The award is a gold cross, with gold wreath and a black enameled swastika in the center of the cross. The reverse of the cross is stamped with 'Für Treue Dienste' (For Faithful Service). The ribbon for the medal is cornflower blue.
