The wingspan
is 100-120 mm for ssp. undulosa and 118-160 mm for ssp. gigantea. Adults of the nominate subspecies are on wing from June to early August in Korea.
The food plants of the nominate subspecies are unknown. The larvae of ssp. gigantea have been recorded on Lespedeza viatorum in Guangdong and on Lespedeza thompsoni in north-eastern India.
