Coanacochtzin was the seventh tlatoani
(ruler) of Texcoco.

's sons, he succeeded to throne after the death of his half-brother Cacama in 1520.
In 1524 Hernán Cortés
took Coanacochtzin and many other indigenous rulers with him on his expedition to Honduras
