History

The park was started by the Codona family in 1969 at its current site on the Beach Esplanade. It is still a family business, run by the third generation of Codonas.

Mascot

The mascot of Codonas is Dodgem the Dog. He was created through a competition to see who could make the best mascot for the park. Dodgem likes to join kids on the rides and walks through the park having fun with customers.
