Come Together Music Festival
Encyclopedia
Come Together is an all-ages Australian music festival
performed at Luna Park Sydney
. Beginning in 2005, it was originally two separate events, one in April and one in September. In 2006, a two-day festival was held in June (on the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend), and the festival was again on the same long weekend in 2007. Originally limited to Australian performers, the festival was later expanded out to include New Zealand performers and a small number of international acts.
The festival consists of three stages; two running alternately in the Big Top, with the third running inside the Crystal Palace. Included in the price of the tickets is unlimited time on the amusement rides within the Park.
The festival showcases Australian and New Zealand acts who are relatively unknown to mainstream and commercial radio. Most of the acts play for only 30 minutes with the exception of the headliners who have had either 45 minutes or one hour.
