The school sponsors many activities that students in which students can become involved, including: Cardinal Image (school store) management, choir, orchestra, band, drum-line, debate, speech, Amnesty International, marching band, drama club, step drill team, fine arts, Link Crew, robotics team, student council, and winter color-guard. Coon Rapids High School has seen great success in various competitions since its inception.
The school offers a special education program, a student work program, peer mediation, student clubs, national honor society, Advanced Placement classes and honors courses, student elective classes, and school within a school alternative program.

Link Crew
Also known as 'Students Helping Students'. Link Crew is a program that has members of the Senior class offer help and advise to the new Freshmen. They meet with the Freshmen almost every Wednesday to answer any questions that they may have.School song
