Allen was born in Lawton
, Oklahoma
, where he was heavily involved with Speech and Drama and directed the senior play as a sophomore. He later moved to Tulsa to finish high school and returned to Lawton to work and attend Cameron University as a Theatre major. In 1996, Allen left Lawton to join the United States Air Force. While serving his career as an enlisted member, he began promoting local events and fundraisers while stationed in Florida. In 2004, Allen moved back to Oklahoma and became quickly involved with the arts and entertainment community throughout the state. In 2008, he received a degree from the University of Oklahoma
and in the same year, Allen had created Vacant Era Films, LLC and Norman’s first film festival. In 2010, Cory Allen established Cory Allen PR, a public relations agency.
