The school has a successful Student Voice programme. This programme allows students to have a greater influence in the running of the school. This includes enhancing the lessons, selection of staff, reviewing of school policies and sitting in on governor meetings.

Since 2005, major developments have occurred. A new block was built -teaching Humanities- and a state-of-the-art sports complex has been constructed in place of the old tennis courts.

The current Headteacher is Mrs Elaine Faull. The previous Headteacher was Mr Maurice Hicks who left the school in 2001 and is now the head of Holyrood Academy in Chard
