At 16 years old Hall began attending Rice University where he graduated in 1990. In 2003 he graduated from the University of Chicago
Law School and Graduate School of Business. Hall formerly served on the Rice University Investment Committee helping to manage the school's endowment which currently is estimated at $4.1 billion. Currently he is a managing partner at Hillcrest Venture Partners, a venture capital firm. Hall also currently serves as mayor Bloomberg's appointee to the New York City campaign finance committee.
