Bowden has gone back and forth between the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour during his career. He is currently (2010) a member of the PGA Tour after finishing in the top 25 (22nd) on the 2009 Nationwide Tour money list. He was a member of PGA Tour in 1997, 2000–01, 2004 and 2007 and the Nationwide Tour in 1993, 1996, 1998-1999, 2002, 2003, 2005–06, and 2008-09. He has won three tournaments on the Nationwide Tour and three on the NGA Hooters Tour
. At the end of the 2009 season, he ranked 5th on the career Nationwide Tour
money list.
