affiliate in 1998, then joined the Ogden Raptors
in 1999. He was rated among the top 10 prospects in the Brewers farm system for three years by Baseball America
, and was a Pioneer League All-Star in 1999 and 2000.
He continued to play in the Brewers system until 2003, when he joined the Seattle Mariners
organization in midseason. 2004 also saw him changing organizations in midseason, this time to the Anaheim Angels
in 2004. From 2005-07, he played in the Washington Nationals
organization, splitting 2007 between the Columbus Clippers
and Harrisburg Senators
before being released.
Overall, Guerrero has played in over 460 games at Double-A and above, including most of the 2002-07 seasons.
