. Rather than driving through the race in a car, you navigate the racetrack via submarine. There are zappers in the track which make racers go faster. There are mines in the track that the racers have to avoid.
Powerups
The game includes at total of 12 powerups, some of which are only available on certain tracks or modes.- Bone Bomb: The Bone Bomb is an explosive which temporarily stops any enemy car that is hit by it.
- Oil Slick: The Oil Slick reduces traction at the place where it is dropped.
- Nitro: The Nitro powerup increases your speed on a racetrack for five seconds.
- Homing Pigeon: The Homing Pigeon is a weapon which chases one of your enemies.
- Bottle Rocket: The Bottle Rocket is a weapon which explodes and stops the opponent temporarily.
- Roman Candle: The Roman Candle flies into the air and then falls on one of your opponents.
- Freeze Bomb: The Freeze Bomb causes anyone hit by the explosion to freeze temporarily.
- Land Mine: The Land Mine temporarily stops the first car that hits it.
- Torpedo: The torpedo is an underwater weapon, used on the Atlantis racetrack
- Sticky Tires: Sticky Tires is a powerup that activates immediately when hit. When used, it gives you high traction and makes it hard to skid.
- Super Suspension: Super Suspension also activates immediately. It decreases how far you fly when you hit something.
- Invisibility: Invisibility also activates immediately, and is only available in battles. It makes you invisible to the other player, even on the map.
