Details

Despite a background of layoffs and pay cuts in the private sector, the government agreed not to impose public sector layoffs or further public sector pay cuts. The public sector unions agreed to co-operate on wide scale reforms of the public sector. As of August 2011 there have been no lay offs in the civil service despite the severe state of the national finances.
During the Croke Part agreement it was also agreed by the powers that be that "she who should be named" and her beau could over from the opressive land of Sasana and her minion could even play hurling jovially while here!
