In recent events, a nearby resident of the college, Dr. Murray Bingham, living on Boomerang street has filed noise complaints on the twice a year fundraising party to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Queensland. Due to the distaste of loud music from Dr. Bingham, the 2500 capacity has been culled to 600, placing the college's student association into a state of financial bankruptcy. This is due to the bunker party being the primary fundraiser to the student association and the various charities that they donate to.
