inspection the school was assessed as 'Grade 1 - Outstanding'. Ofsted described the school as "This is an outstanding school. It has maintained high standards and continued to improve since its last inspection. ... The leadership and management, including governance, are first rate. ... The quality of teaching is outstanding and pupils achieve very well during their time at Crowlees. ... The curriculum is outstanding with particular strengths in the development of literacy and numeracy skills." Exceptionally, the school was also rated outstanding in every component part of the inspection.
Crowlees is a Healthy Schools Gold Award winner. They won, in July 2008, the inaugural Arthur Halliwell Memorial Award for Kirklees Sustainable Schools. In September 2008 the school secured the Eco-Schools
Green Flag award.
