In "The Breakout," the Cube is one of the four major supervillain prisons mentioned in the first episode of the series as a successful mass breakout is staged along with the other three prisons releasing the prisoners from all four prisons. After Hulk retreats with Doc Samson, Leader takes over the Cube. In "Panther's Quest," a Hulkbuster unit tries to reclaim the Cube only to be fended off by Abomination and a force-field to cover the Cube. In "Gamma World" Pt. 1, the Avengers and Doc Samson had to wear special suits in order to get through the gamma dome that turns anyone exposed to it into Gamma Monsters in order to get into the Cube. They had to fight their way past the Zzzax, the U-Foes, and the Wrecking Crew in order to destroy the Gamma Dome's generator. This was a success, but Leader had another one in Las Vegas.
