 . The rural municipality in conjunction with the provincial government is in charge of maintenance of highways in its area. As well, the municipality provides policing, fire protection and municipal governance for the rural district, with a reeve as its administrator.

There are two historical site located within the rural municipality:
  • Gregherd School Site - Constructed in 11914, the site contains a one room school house and monument.
  • Wheatwyn Church (also called the Wheatwyn Lutheran Church or Zion Lutheran Church) - Established in 1906 - 1907 and constructed of field stone, the church is of a Gothic Vernacular style. Wheatwyn Church
