Ayesha Asantewaa is a disco jockey and television presenter for BBC 1Xtra and CBBC
.
Ayesha attended Copland Community School, and did a radio course called Blaze Radio at Preston Manor High School.
At the age of 15, she gained work experience at BBC 1Xtra and subsequently entered the Xtra Talent competition at 16 to become a DJ on the same station. In September 2004 she was offered a month on the Xtra Talent slot on Sundays from 3-6 am. In 2005 she was given her own slot on Saturday mornings from 6-9 am.
Ayesha was a co-host with Sam and Mark
on the CBBC Show Level Up, and Do Something Different.
Ayesha was also a presenter on Cbeebies
radio,(also on BBC7) which broadcast in March 2007.
Now Ayesha has her own business called Purple Turtle Beads that sells handmade jewellery.
Ayesha has been a member of St John Ambulance for eight years and is qualified in first aid
