The club is sponsored by local sports bar, The Brickhouse Bar, and is has been part of the SSFL since early 2004. The team boasts players from over ten different countries, including England, New Zealand, Canada, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

In the fall of 2007, Daejeon captured its first ever league championship by finishing the season with a draw against fellow title contender, Seoul United. The season marks the first time any team outside of Seoul
