, north of the state capital Kadugli.

Dalang is about 130 kilometres (80.8 mi) south of Al Obied, the state capital of North Kordofan State.
A permanent tarred road links Dalang to Khartoum

The town is inhabited mainly by Nubians, Fellata and Hawazzma Arabs.
