Milano originally voiced all the characters, sometimes performing two at a time, a puppet on each hand. When the show moved to the Fox sitcom format, they expanded the cast of puppeteers to include Drew Massey
, James Murray and Victor Yerrid
. After the Fox sitcom was canceled, they returned to the Independent Film Channel with a half hour special called "Fur on the Asphalt", the Greg the Bunny Reunion Special, followed by two more seasons of film parodies.
In late 2009 it was announced that MTV had picked up a spinoff of Greg the Bunny called Warren the Ape
. The show is set to premiere on June 14, 2010 at 10:30PM ET. Again, Milano performs the main character Warren 'the Ape' Demontague, while also serving as co-writer and co-producer.
Currently available on DVD are the Fox sitcom Greg the Bunny - The Complete Series, Greg the Bunny - Best of the Film Parodies (Vol. 1), and The Passion of Greg the Bunny: Best of the Film Parodies, Vol. 2.
