Dance Factory, also known as Dance Factory Radio, is the Chicago area dance music radio program that airs every night on the Newsweb Corporation trimulcast
of WCPY-FM (92.5), WCPT-FM (92.7) and WCPQ-FM (99.9). On Dance Factory's official website DanceFactoryFM.com, the radio broadcast can be streamed to internet listeners anywhere in the world.
then on May 10, 2007, the show expanded again to weeknight broadcasts. Dance Factory now airs every night from 9:00PM to 5:00AM Sundays through Fridays, and from 8:00PM to 5:00AM on Saturdays.

At the time, Energy92.7&5 was very popular with its target radio audience, even producing two consecutive CD-song collections, "Energy92.7&5 Dance Hits Volume(s) 1 & 2", for retail sale. In 2003, however, financial difficulties by Energy's parent company forced the station off the air.
Said NineFM's program director Matt DuBiel: "Ever since 'Energy FM' left the Chicago airwaves a few years ago, there has been a void on the radio dial, and Chris has been fighting to get the music back on the air. 9FM" is "glad to" be "able to fill that void while still being able to play all the other great songs from our music library" (sic).
Trimulcast
The term "trimulcast" was first used in May 1981 by Multimedia Broadcasting's outlets in Little Rock, Arkansas, KAAY-AM and KLPQ-FM when they teamed-up with Cox Cable locally...

History
Produced by TKC Entertainment, Dance Factory began broadcasting on May 19, 2006 on Friday nights from 9:00PM to 4:30AM. After August 12, 2006, the show expanded to Friday and Saturday nights, andthen on May 10, 2007, the show expanded again to weeknight broadcasts. Dance Factory now airs every night from 9:00PM to 5:00AM Sundays through Fridays, and from 8:00PM to 5:00AM on Saturdays.
