Daniel Chick is a professional Australian rules football

. Chick is also well known for having a finger amputated
in 2002 so he could continue playing football.
After the pain of chronic dislocation, Chick made headlines when he elected to have his left ring finger amputated at the first joint in 2002.
After Chick's brother Justin died from an allergic reaction Chick felt unsatisfied at Hawthorn and expressed his intentions to return to his home state. Hawthorn traded him to the West Coast Eagles
